New friends!
We specialize in helping teens make friends! TeenTurf produces very close friendships. We do this through ice breakers, team building activities, and energetic, relationship-building expert leaders. We are all about community here and we work hard to make sure everyone is always included. We are encouraging everyone to sign up for both sessions to form a tight-knit summer friend group. Most teens are hooked after the first day and already hanging out with each other by the first weekend! TeenTurf is known to be an instant friend group!
Summer fun!
Teens will get to do various fun activities in the Austin area. We are aiming for sun, fun, and lots of laughter this summer! Teens naturally line up with the summer vibe, so we are going to foster that! Activities such as swimming, waterparks, exploring, picnics/hiking, sand volleyball, water balloon tag, and more! Not sure about some of the activities? Cheering from the side is always okay too! And can be just as fun. Teens will also be eating out, playing board games, window shopping, hanging out, and walking around. There is something for everyone!
Ages 14-18 yrs
June Session (Jun 5-Jun 28)
July Session (Jul 10-Aug 2)
Wednesdays and Fridays 2pm-6pm
Wednesdays - fun facilitator-led social/emotional activities & fun activities at venues/meetup locations in Mueller, such as Bartholomew Pool, Alamo Drafthouse Movie Theater, Scavenger Hunts, & Water Balloon Tag at a Park!
Fridays - pre-planned hangout where teens can practice their independence, autonomy, and social/emotional skills while hanging out in a teen-only group in an unstructured way, such as exploring/shopping at the Domain or Malls, or hanging out at member’s houses to play video games or board games.
Please note: While we understand teens may have other summer commitments such as camps/travel that conflict with some of the TeenTurf meetup days, please know the session cost is the same and there will be no makeup days.

Facilitator-led SEL/Community Bonding Activities by an LMFT Associate (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Associate) in Texas

1 week prior to each Session start date.
*Days/times subject to change based on weather, venue availability, and unforeseen circumstances.
*PLEASE NOTE: Accepting summer registrations now, but an application process is required prior to regristration to ensure a mutual good fit. Also, please understand, due to the small size of the program with only one adult on staff, we are not able to accept teens with large special needs as we are not able to accommodate their needs at this time.
*Limited partial scholarships are available for those whose financial situation prevents them from signing up their teen. We’ve all been there and want to make this accessible to all. If this applies to you, please email teenturfhomeschool@gmail.com.
